You’ve to visit the Central Market early in the morning to appreciate all the fresh fish. The market is also popular for fresh fruit, vegetables and meat.

In the museum shows you how life in Bahrain was lived in pre-oil, pre-air-conditioning times and a natural history exhibition, which features examples of the mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, insects, molluscs, minerals and fossils found in Bahrain.

Al Areen Wildlife Park is the only Nature Reserve in Bahrain. The park covers more than eight square kilometres and has an impressive collection of birds and mammals, many of which are native to the Arabian Gulf Region. The area around the reception buildings is beautiful landscaped with mature trees, lawns, flower beds, ponds and ornamental water features. There are several species of water fowl such as ducks, pelicans and flamingos. In the park you’ll also see exotic birds, gazelles, Oryx, wild sheep, ostriches,…

From there, we’ll appreciate the beautiful views of the sea and surrounding landscape, and interesting contrasts between the ancient structure of the fort and the distant skyscrapers to the seef district. The interior of the fort is a maze of rooms on many different levels and well restored...

There are several stables frequented by the expat community, all offer lessons…Every Friday in the winter season from October to May, spectators can watch races, all of the above plus flat Racing, which is literally “The Sport of the King” in Bahrain.
